Does anyone have any information about an Elizabeth Holliday, born 1833 in Culworth. Her parents were John Holliday and Anne Clarke. I know that in 1851 she was working as a servant on a farm in Culworth. I can find nothing for her after that. Looking for marriages or deaths?
Also, Ellen Holliday born 1837 in Culworth. She was Elizabeth's sister, and another daughter of John Holliday and Anne Clarke. In 1851 she is living at Eydon and working as a servant. In 1861 I think she is living in Wappenham and working as a servant. I think she married a William Lester in 1862 in Towcester and died in 1863 in Towcester at the age of 26?
Any information would be much appreciated.

Many thanks for the information. It was very helpful and takes me a bit further forward. I haven't been able to find Elizabeth at all in an 1861 Census.

I think Elizabeth may have married Martin Humphrey King in 1862. He then marries again in 1867.
There is a death for an Elizabeth King in 1865.

I shall be checking out the information about Elizabeth and Ellen Holliday. From research so far, it seems that the females of this particular generation didn't live long lives. The males did - one of the brother reaching the age of 86 yrs which I suppose was quite an age in those times.
I normally go down to the library to do my research on their version of Ancestry, but at the moment I am iced in!
Once again, many thanks for help given.

Could you let me know what site you found the 1861 Census for Elizabeth Holliday working as a servant in Priors Marston. I have been on Genes Reunited, Find My Past and Ancestry and can't seem to locate it! I am a fairly newcomer to this "game" and would welcome any tips from more experienced people.
Thanks.

Hello again,
one tip is to try variations on spellings etc e.g. Hol*y.
She is there as Holiday - just one 'l'.
hope that helps
