Does anyone know if there is a history of Horbury, im trying to locate a shaw family who were cotton spinners in this area during the 1800s, would love to find out if they moved there from Sandbach, Cheshire.

The Local Studies library near there should be able to direct you to a history of the area etc.

Which part of the 1800's did your Shaw family live in Horbury ??
If you could give a few more details hopefully someone might be able to help.
Kind regards,
Pels.
