Only 6 months to the Irvine/ Craig family reunion in Young. There are already quite a few who will be coming but hoping more will see this and get in touch.

I`ve got my ticket for the trip to Australia, my once in a life time!!

Cheers.

Mary.

Hello Mary,
I am one of your clan.My Grandfather, John Irvine, is the older brother of Isabel.  I have the list of all those brothers and sisters you mentioned.
I am really hoping to get to the reunion in Young.  I am the eldest  daughter of John Cameron Irvine & Marie Doreen O'Dwyer.  I have quite a bit of family history of our line from Pop & Nana Irvine down.  Pop & Nana- John Irvine & Cora Ella Gertrude Phillis (what a mouthful).  When they married in the Presbyterian Manse, Young in 1-10-1907, Pop signed his name Irvin (without the "e") and so did his sister Isabel Irvin.  John was born 2-1-1884 and died 20-11-1969 & Cora born 15-7-1885 and died 17-9-1968.  You probably have all this info anyway.
Cheers for now
Joan Hohnke nee Irvine

Nice to hear from you and looking forward to meeting up with you and the others.

WEe`ll be in Australia from Sept 28 till Oct 15. Will be staying mostly with Andrea Pringle but also visiting with Colin Stone as well as some of the Irvine decendents  in Melbourne before going on to Young.

Looking forward to getting all your info too. Have a fair amount but not much of the later generations.

Hi Mary,
So excited that you saw my message.  I am not much good at this computer stuff.  It is good they send an email to say you messaged me.  It takes me so long to do anything - by the time I lose it half a dozen times and so forth.
Are you on the Margaret Craig side of things?  I haven't got anything about her brothers and sisters.  It was such an accident that I fell on that web page Rootchat, and there you were.  I could not believe it.
I am so slack with getting all the family details together.  I have all the families if four different directions on the go - my parents and my husband's parents. Now I am trying to concentrate and get all the Irvine stuff up to date.  I did a phone call a couple of weeks ago and asked my cousin to correct what I had and add any more additions there might be.  I am still waiting, waiting,waiting......I am in contact with Carmel Irvine in Wagga and Pat Teale Cootamundra. They have my email address, so if Andrea knows them, we could make contact that way.
I am a Queenslander.  I have a two week holiday end of Sept and only get back with a few days to organise myself for Young.  Don't know how I am going to do it ??????  It is a long way to Young.
This w/e I am going on a scrapbooking workshop with 40 ladies.  We have been doing this yearly for some years - so looking forward to it.   Winter has just arrived, so I will need to take my electric blanket and warm clothes.  When we are all in the hall we create enough heat, it is just getting to the dorms and toilets outside.  We do it very quickly as you can imagine.
Cheers for now
Joan

Hi Joan.
So glad you got right back to me. One more posting and we can send private messages and can get your email adr. Will tell Andrea and she can contact Carmel. Dont worry about making mistakes on here , it took me a bit of time to understand it all, old age you know. Roots Chat is wonderfull, would never have found my Australian cousins without it. came in contact with 3 different people and could put them in contact with one another They didn`t know each other even existed. I met Andrea 2 years ago when she was in Scotland and last year met Colin Stone in London. he is also going to the reunion. My grandmother was Isabella Craig, Margaret Craig Irvines, sister. She enden up in Canada. Have all the Craigs accounted for and will be able to give you it all. There was 10 children of George Craig and Mary Fulton. Have also traced George Craigs, family as well as Mary Fulton. Will be also meeting with a Fulton decendent who lives in Marybourgh and he has piles of info on that branch. I`m a Canadian but live in Norway, came here 47 years ago after marring a Norwegian, One more posting and we can send a PM and exchange mail adr. Will ask Andrea to contact Carmel as well.
Cheers,
Mary
