GINNANE/HENNESSY family
« on: Monday 06 February 12 05:13 GMT (UK) »

Could anyone please help with information on John HENNESSY who married Margaret GINNANE possibly in Limerick.

Their daughter Eliza HENNESSY was born C1840 and there were 3 other children that we know of - George, Thomas and Robert.

John HENNESSY died in 1885 at Shanagolden, Limerick and his wife Margaret died in 1886 also at Shanagolden. John was a Clerk of the Court of Petty Sessions at Shanagolden.

We have been unable to find any of the births for the children nor the marriage of John and Margaret.

Thank you for your time,
Christine

Hello,

I'm a descendant of Robt Hennessy of Shanagolden, (b.c. 1849) and living in Dublin where the family moved to.

I'm interested in finding out how you found Ginnane to be Margaret's maiden name.
I have more info on Robt's & Thomas' branches of family.

Best regards,
Mad Brad

MadBrad6,

Regarding your query as to how I found that Ginnane was Margaret's maiden name - I was able to obtain a copy by ordering a microfilm of Irish wills through the LDS Church ( Mormon Church)
They have a family history centre near where I live. I was lucky enough to find both Margaret's and John's Wills.

I am a descendant of John and Bridget Ginnane, the second Daughter Catherine Ginnane born 19th August 1871 is my Great Great Grandmother.  I actually have a old Ginnane Family Bible with all the records listed.
This is what is here.

John & Bridget Ginnane (McGuen Born 22 December 1889) married John on the sixth day in May 1868

Bridget Ginnane Died on Thursday 30th day of June 1927.   My Grandmother, Bridgets, I am unsure how many great granddaughters, Gwenneth Ginnane, died on the same day.  Weird.

Mary Anne Ginnane first daughter on 22nd August 1867

Michael, first child of John and Bridget, 22/3/1864

Deaths
Thomas Ginnane 3rd son of Bridget died at 9.45am on Sunday the 25th day of February 1906 at Dumstown

I do hope this message finds you.  I am looking for unusual history in our family.    The females descended from Catherine, who was also named after my great aunt, Elizabeth Catherine Ginnane, who was a very unusual person.  As was her sister my Great Grandma, as was my Grandma, Gwenneth Anne Ginnane, as is my Mum, myself and my kids.   Oh yep it gets stranger and as your from the same line I am wondering if your side has a strong energetic capability or strange out of the box abilities to know, see or predict things?  Now my second Cousin Jenny, (child of nans brother William Ginnane) also has strange abilities.   Healer etc, we all are.    Now it gets stranger, my daughter who does not know any of her great grandparents, told me we come from a long line of energetic healers each with their own gift.    She described them from an energetic perspective very accurately.  Things re them she'd never every know.

Is your side of the family very energetically gifted?
Unique?
Charming?
Know things others don't know?
Don't age much, as in don't look our age?
I could create a laundry list, the females in my line are very different and I want to know where it comes from and trace it back to our true family linage   Who I have a few ideas who that may be

Your post was along time ago and i hope this finds you.  Feel free to call me (*)
