I am trying to establish whether Anne and Esther are sisters, daughters of Moses LOWRY (died 1850).

Anne married William GALBREAITH, son of James, November 18th 1847

            See: https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/FG6M-ZYB

Esther (born 1836) married William GRAHAM, son of Matthew, September 30th 1856 in Raymochy

            See:https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/FGXC-JL5
Researching:
Donegal - Black Ewing Gibson Hodge Latta Linchahan Lucas McClean Ramsy
Donegal/NZ/AU - Ash(e) Lowry Moore Thompson
Cork/Dublin - Deane Hobbs Jeffers Kingston Levis Shorten Swanton Wolfe

based on extracted civil records on FamilySearch, the father's name is Moses for both marriages .. a marriage cert would give you some additional clues - i.e. the occupation for Moses, and the residences for the brides at the time of marriage.

Marriage of William Galbreaith and Anne Lowry

Marriage of William Graham and Esther Lowry

Hi the Will Calender entry for moses Lowry died 1850 is available through the Proni site, this links him to William Galbrieth and to Raymochy, the image for the entry is also available, had a quick read through but don't see mention of Esther Lowry(Graham) He does mention a son Moses in the Will

The Will of Moses Lowry late of Killyverry County Donegal Farmer deceased who died 9 July 1850 at same place was proved at Londonderry by the oath of William Galbraith of Dooish (Newtowncunningham) County Donegal Farmer one of the Executors.

Thank you Joe and Shane for your help.

Will of Moses Lowry

I came across Moses' will on Friday and saw that it referred to six children. I had a lot of information on three, found a fourth yesterday and I'm hoping Esther and Anne are the missing two.

I had forgotten that William Galbraith was one of the executors - so thank you Joe for pointing this out. Another indicator that Anne may be one of the missing children.

Census
Hi, this looks like the son Moses in the 1901 Census:

http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Donegal/Manorcunningham/Ballylevin/1189225/

This Moses is the son of William, grandson of Moses who died in 1850. Apart from possibly Esther and Anne, William is the only child that did not emigrate to Australia.

Marriage Certificates
This is probably a very novice question but - I usually order certs through http://www.hse.ie/lifeevents/, is this the best way? It wouldn't make use of the volume and page references.

Thank you again for your help.

A research cert from GRO Roscommon (by post) will cost you €4, if you include the references above - see :
