There is a death for John Stenson BUTTERFIELD 1880 and what I presume is his son Louis Lardent BUTTERFIELD 1880.

BUT not Martha....... ???

This might be her baptism though...

There is a tree online that shows her as being Emily RAPSEY but gives no marriage date and no death for Martha.

FreeBMD has

Marriages Sept Qtr 1904
Hastings Sussex
BUTTERFIELD James
RAPSEY Emily Florence

Hmmm.... not convinced myself, but anything is possible

Cheers

i think that that james was born in 1877 and that emily was born in 1878
they are together in steyning, sussex in 1911 emily down as florence
so if i had to guess i would say that is not the ones we are looking for

For Martha Stenson ( Butterfield ) try died 1st Quarter 1872 St Olave, Southwark ( Vol. 1d ) ( page 206 )

I've only just joined Roots after picking up on your link to James Butterfield.

hope this helps.
