Hi,

Have been looking into my family tree for a few years and am stuck when we go back to Ireland. I wasn't sure for a while which county we are from, but have now found out if was most likely to be Co. Kerry.

And so, I was wondering whether any of you could help me out.

I have William Clifford b. 1837 (approx) in Ireland, father being Edward and mother either Sybil or Bridget (names listed differently on marriage and death of William).

I have found no siblings etc of William. I only have information of his children and so on. I cannot go any further until I find out more about him and his parents.

How can I find out any more about him?

If Co. Kerry turns out too  be correct then the place to start with a search for early records is www.irishgenealogy.ie  They have most of the RC and Church of Ireland parish records for the county.

Hugh who married Isabella is my great great grandfather! Their son William is my great grandfather. (I'm 17)
