1861 Census Look Up Please.

Hiya can  someone do a look up on the 1861 Census for me please.  George Edmund Harris. Born 1839. i found him on 1871 and 1881.  living at   37, Parker Street. Barrow in Furness. married then. but was born in Shropshire.

I have a possible for you from 1861 but the birthplace doesn't tie up.

Emily HARRIS, Wife, 43, b. Wednesbury, Staffs
George E HARRIS, Son, 22, Iron Works Roller, b. Belgium, British Subject
John HARRIS, Son, 15, b. Staffs
Ruth HARRIS, Dau, 13, b. Staffs
Richard HARRIS, Son, 12
Mark HARRIS, Son, 10
Emily HARRIS, Dau, 8
Lillian HARRIS, Dau, 5
Sarah J HARRIS, Dau, 3
Samuel HARRIS, Son, 10 Months

All the other children were born in Staffs.

ps The 1881 census has him born in Staffordhire, Westbury not Shropshire.  Am I looking at the same entry you found?

                   Your a  Real Star, i could kiss you lol.
Yes this is the family i was looking for. been searching for months.  The Son George Edmund  Harris [22.]  i have been trying to find out his parents name. i couldn't find much information on George. with him being Born in Belgium.  everyone i spoken too said their isn't a Westbury in Staffs.
no such place. but their is a Westbury in Shropshire.
i was trying to get George's Birth and Marriage certifcate. without any Luck at all.

Hi Mistey,

The 1861 reference I found was on Ancestry too if you want to have a look at it.  Glad I could help.  I guess the big question now is how he ended up being born in Belgium and then didn't admit to it on later censuses! (Would you? :))
