my ancestors for restoration please
« on: Tuesday 31 January 12 20:17 GMT (UK) »
Hi everyone, can someone please clean up this photograph best way you can, and also take out the man at the end of the photo who is not part of the family.  I know you will do a great job, as always - so thanks in advance.  Its in sepia but if anyone would like to also do a black and white photo please do so.

Hi Sue...It might be a good idea to modify the title to request a restore as the title is a bit vague.

I have looked at this photo and it is scanned at a dpi of 200 and had been badly compressed.
If you have the original can you rescan at 300 dpi with no compression.
If you need help there are tutorials at the top of the borad

As Irene says would be better without compression.....had a play though
GUIDE FOR PHOTO RESTORATIONS PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR SCANNER BED IS CLEAN AND SCAN AT A RESOLUTION OF 300-600 WITH THE SCALE AT 100% MINIMUM.

If you would like a coloured version, details such as hair colour , eyes and clothing etc.  if known  would be helpful to restorers

Regards Roy
