Charles W. KNILL - Devon
« on: Tuesday 31 January 12 12:23 GMT (UK) »
Hi
I'm searching for information on Charles W. Knill, his parents and any siblings. Charles married Gwendoline E. Wills (1914-1969), in 1945, in Bodmin (registration district). Gwendoline, who was born in Truro (registration district), is buried with her mother, Winifred C. Wills née Webb (1893-1978), in Ilfracombe Cemetery. The inscription on the headstone reads:

IN
LOVING MEMORY
OF
GWENDOLINE ELIZABETH KNILL
who fell asleep
13th December 1969, aged 55 years.
ALSO WINIFRED CATHERINE WILLS
Mother of the above, who passed away
19th February 1978, aged 85 years

FreeBMD has a Charles W. Knill (mother's maiden name Knill), born in 1918, in Exeter (registration district), and elsewhere I've found a Charles Wilfrid Knill, who died in 1991, in Barnstaple, which may be relevant.
With thanks
DevonKnill
