Errol Perthshire & surrounding area
« on: Sunday 29 January 12 20:03 GMT (UK) »
Can anyone tell me where INCHLOFLY is located near Errol. I've found it on several Old Parish Records for births and baptisms from 1701 to 1712?

Many thanks :)

Thanks Skoosh, but I don't think it's either of them. I have 4 separate entries from the OPRs 1701-1712 plus the birth of the father in 1676 in the same place. so it must have existed at some time!

lorre. try this site for old maps of Errol.    http://maps.nls.uk/   General Roy's Military Maps are worth a look. They're divided into Highland & Lowland. The Carse of Gowrie was a former wetland, drained to make rich farmland, the Inch names show the sites of former islands.

Skoosh.
