I think there is an Elizabeth Dixon around but not sure re 1871 and therefore no use in finding anything about her or Frederick.

They would have had to meet it seems after 1871 and at least 9 months before William's birth in 1873. Dublin is the mystery - as well as the name and the births etc  ;)

There are about 5 years between William's birth and the next child- perhaps Frederick was married previously or Betsy had him before she and Frederick married.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!
