« on: Saturday 28 January 12 16:20 GMT (UK) »
Can you please help locate the cemetery and burial information about Gertrude Margaret Shaw?
She died 1st July 1912.
Age: 18 months. (She was born Jan-Mar 1911, Leicester.)
Location of death: 16 South Albion Street, Leicester.
Daughter of John Shaw and Elizabeth Thornton Shaw.
Full name of father is:
John William Frederick Shaw. On Gertrude's death certificate his name is given simply as John Shaw.
Thank you for your kind help.

Hello,
Thank you with all my heart for your kind response!  How touching it is to know where little Gertrude is buried.
For decades we didn't know her name and dates of birth and death.  She died the year before her brother Philip Leo Glendon Shaw 1913-1985 (my first husband) was born.  He didn't know her name, or else he forgot.  He just knew that he had a little sister who died young.
Everyone else who might have known her name was already deceased.
Through my research I discovered a Gertrude M. Shaw's birth record, and then her death record--both in Leicester.  The dates and place seemed as though it might be Phil, Sr.'s little sister.
Yesterday I got her death certificate from the GRO, and it is, indeed, Phil, Sr.'s precious little sister.
And now we know where this dear little child is buried.
Oliver Orton, in whose grave Gertrude is buried, would be a relative.  (Phil, Sr. mentioned this surname to me many years ago.)  I have not yet done genealogy on the Ortons, and posted them in my database, but I shall do so.
Again, thank you for helping to clear up this long-time family mystery.
Your kindness is deeply appreciated.
With warm regards,
Cherie
