looking for Forsythe's in / from N. Ireland.   I can trace my family back to my gt gt gt gt grandfather, John Forsyth(e), b. about 1758. 

Looking to find take the tree back further, ideally to when our line first arrived in N. Ireland from Scotland.

Also tracing any/all descendants, either to add to my tree, or to share my info with, on the chance I have the info they're seeking.

Thanks for this.  I had discovered most of these records, but the details of Margaret Maxwell from familysearch.org is new.  I don't feel that it's her (can we use gut-feelings in geneology??   The ages don't seem to jive with what I have, but that could be down to record-keeping.

I had been following a lead that her parents might have been Richard & Jane (Parrot). Thanks for the new lead - will go exploring!

Looking for ANY info on John Forsyth b. about 1752. 
Father might have been William.... possibly coming from Scotlant to N. Ireland.

I think he married one Alice George, and had (at least) three children:
 Alice (~1787), Elizabeth (Betty) (~1794) & William (~1801)
