Looking for WW1 medals PTE A E Gomersal

Hi Im looking for 2 of my great uncles WW1 medals
200701 PTE Albert Edward Gomersall

I have the British War medal but I am trying to find his 1914-1915 star and also the victory medal.
Also if possible I would love to locate the 'Death Penny'

I know its probably an impossible task but they were last seen in Halifax, West Yorkshire. Any help or if anyone out there has them I would love for them to come home.
My great uncle was Killed in Action on 3 Sep 1916 at the Somme and has no known grave but is comemorated at Thiepval. I traced him in 2009 and visited Thiepval on 11/11/09 in full service dress (as I am an Officer in the Army Cadet Force) where I layed a white rose in his honour. I hope to return on Remembance Sunday in 2016 (marking the 100 years) again in Service dress but hopefully wearing his medals.
So any help to track them down would be greatly appreciated.

Your man was lost on the attack on the "popes nose" area 3/9/16 it was the blackest day of the war for a lot of the West Riding towns especially the Spen Valley.

Do you know 25 pages of his Service History survive on Ancestry?
He was from King Cross area of Halifax His Star will probably be marked with his pre 1917 TF 4 digit number

Ive researched a lot of the 1/4th West Ridings lads who were from Cleckheaton.

Hi guys,
thanks for your help with this.

Ady, Im not sure what you mean by the 25 pages of service history? I have some details of his movements from joining as territorial army and i have seen his sign up paper etc, is there more and can you point me in the right direction.
When I went to Thiepval i was told that he was in Thiepval woods and on 3/9/16 at about 5am they proceeded an attack and were caught on the road at Schwarben redoubt (sorry for poor spelling) by heavy machine guns and because of poor weather many were cut down by the wire and machine guns.

I would appreciate any further info you have.

His original number from 1914 was 2535 ...That would be on his 1915 star the 6 figure number on his British War and Victory Medals

Thank you to Trooper 922 for contacting me to let me know that he had my great uncles WW1 1915 star! I was like a giddy kid when I found out!! what a star!

I am still trying to locate the Victory medal, so please please if there are any collectors out there that own or know how to locate this i would be so grateful to find it. it would mean that when I go to Thiepval in 2016 which will be exactly 100 years from his death that I can wear the medals he bravely earned in giving his life at 20 years old!
