Valeriec,  Many thanks to you for your help and information re the Davies family.  I've just tried the link to the Collingwood Baptist Church, but it appears to have gremlins tonight.  Will try again tomorrow.

I've been trying to figure out why Gladys would have been left with her grandparents.
Do you have a copy of her birth certificate please?
Is it possible that she wasn't Samuel's daughter?

I'm connected to this Davies family through my 3x Gt. Grandmother, Thamer Davies who was the sister of Samuel Davies born c1811.  Samuel's son was Edward Davies born 1843 and Edwards's son was Samuel born 1874.
I'd love to have more information about Samuel born 1909 and his descendants if you could help me please?

Sorry - meant to add that as no death can be found for Mary Davies, is it possible that she married again after Samuel died?
I don't have access to the Canadian census so can't check.

Look what I've found!

DAVIES _ Pauline Gertrude passed peacefully into the presence of our loving Lord on
December 7, 2002. Born in Toronto, Ontario on May 9, 1911 and predeceased by her husband
Samuel Edward Davies, she has been both the cherished centerpiece of a family who have
treasured her for her beautiful spirit and faith filled loving commitment to each one of
us as well as a wonderful friend, mentor and inspiration to countless others. A memorial
service to celebrate and honour her life will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December
14, 2002 at Collingwood Baptist Church, 4847 Joyce Street, Vancouver. Floral tributes
are gratefully declined and we respectfully invite anyone so wishing to make a memorial
contribution to Central Park Manor or Collingwood Baptist Church.

Was Samuel(1874) the son of Edward Davies and Elizabeth Ellis?If so I also have him in my Tree!
