Marriage look up please

Hi, l wonder if sks would very kindly look for a marriage c1782 possibly in Bodicote? l know very little of this couple other than they are baptising children in Bodicote from 1783.

Thomas GODSON & Frances ??

I am trying to ascertain Frances`s maiden name and any other info the entry may show.

I have checked the IGI and although there are several baptisms in Bodicote there is no entry for a marriage

Any help or guidance would be very much appreciated.

From the OFHS's Oxfordshire Marriage Index (1538-1837):

10 OCT 1782 - Thomas GODSON to Frances SAUL (both of Bodicote) at Adderbury

This is the only information that appears on the index.  The actual marriage register entry will include names of witnesses, and possibly other information.

I am interested in this Thomas Godson and what became of his family.  He may have been apprenticed to Edward Roberton of Deddington as a jersey weaver (1755-1762) - image at Ancestry.  He may be the son of Thomas Godson and Sarah Lambard of Adderbury.   Thomas & Sarah married in 1739 and Thomas died of smallpox in 1761.

Hi Celia, apologies for the delay in getting back to you.

Unfortunately l know next to nothing of this family? l know that Thomas Godson married Frances SUAL in Adderbury on the 10th Oct 1782( Entry states both Thomas & Frances were from Boddicote), witnesses to marriage were John Parrot and Mary Spittle.
Thomas & Frances had 5 children that l am aware of, Hannah 1783, John 1788, Susannah 1789, Esther 1793-1861, Fanny 1796. Esther married Edward Ingram in 1816 at St Andrews, Holborn.

And that is all l know.
