Aston le Walls Parish records?

Hi, I hope someone may be able to help me. I am searching for a baptismal record for a John Curtis, b.1787 in Aston le Walls - he married Ann Penn in nearby Wardington, Oxfordshire but I can find nothing else on him and I would like to see if I can go further back with the family.

Does anyone have access to the Aston le Walls parish records and would be able to do a look-up for me please?

There are no Curtis baptisms in Aston le Walls between 1751 and 1812

Hi Alison ...

What is your source for believing that John was born in Aston-le-Walls?  If it's his marriage records stating that he was "of Aston-le-Walls", then this only indicates his residence at the time or marriage - not birthplace.

Searching the IGI, I found a John CURTIS being baptised at Thorpe Mandeville in the second half of 1785.  YM is approx. 4/5 miles SE of Aston-le-Walls.  Definitely worth further research, I think!

Pennie, that sounds very promising, thank you! I was basing it on his marriage records and hadn't even considered that he might only have been living there. I will look at the Thorpe Mandeville record

Thank you, suddenly new leads to look into. I was leaning towards the Thorpe Mandeville IGI as this showed his father as Thomas which is a family name but will look at the others too. Family history has always placed the Curtis family in Wardington, Oxfordshire which is why I've never looked in Northamptonshire before.
