Hi bishenbertie

Mmm... I'd looked for Jane's death earlier, and the one registered at Braintree, 1901 - aged 49 (bc 1852) - seemed all that made sense.  ;)

( What was the date of the 1901 census.  ?? )

1901 Census = 31 March/1 April

Hmm ... so Braintree death reg. > Jan-Feb-Mar < unlikely to be the correct Jane GREEN.

Hi guys
Thanks for all your efforts.
Lack of anything after 1901 was the reason I thought that just maybe Henry and Jane took off to NZ with their son.
Lu - perhaps you found my tree on Anc****y - Underwood/Palmer family. There are several others which have this family, but all have the same dead-end!
You mentioned that it is possible to check the NZ electoral listings. I am wondering whether the son Harry Green and wife Rose may be traceable and by some miracle Henry and Jane were living at the same place?
Cheers  ..  Peter

Hi Peter

It was the Cousins Tree from memory.   ;)

Yes, as part of determining whether Henry and Jane actually came to NZ, I'd already viewed the electoral listings for Harry (Henry) and Rose Beatrice GREEN.   From 1914 to 1963 they were living at various addresses in the Dunedin area.   But there's no sign at all of Henry snr. and Jane.

1911 should shed some further light on Henry senior's status at that time.   (Possibly he has re-married ?)   ;)
