Thanks for the last posting. Bridget was not born until 1834ish so that counts it out. Her death certificate just says Ireland as place of birth. There were no death notices for clues in Launceston Examiner.

I did follow advice and employed a researcher some months back. Unfortunately it yielded nothing that was not already known e.g. she married Michael O'Connor Dec 1874 Launceston. Bridget's child Gertrude Bridget( my gtgmother) did not have a birth certificate and there was no record of her being born as per Tas Records Office. Her sister Elizabeth died -partus-  as per Death Certificate and have only just realised this could have meant in childbirth.

I feel that the book must close.
