Carol, I do appreciate the time and effort you are giving to help me research my Kerr(Carr) ancestors. My Kerr ancestors were living predominantly in Dumfriesshire and Kircudbrightshire and having been born and raised in Dumfries know the geography of the parishes and churchyards. There is also such a contrast between delving into Scottish and English records, I have a lot to learn regarding navigating through English records. Good luck when you are able to visit the vicar.
