Jar St Harbour
« on: Friday 20 January 12 00:44 GMT (UK) »
Anyone ever heard of this place ? Have done the usual Google with no results.
Has turned up as an address on a burial in 1834 of Elizabeth Moore in Glasnevin. So presuming it is within Dublin ?
The other occupants of the Glasnevin plot are clearly all related so  I'm wondering who Elizabeth Moore is.

I would agree with taidquest. It was often written 'Jas. St.' harbour, which could easily be mistaken for 'Jar St.'.

Thanks, yes I think you're both correct there. I can see the original register, old copperplate hand and it could easily say Jas and not Jar. I think based on her name and address I can count Elizabeth Moore out as family.
cheers.
