              The above information is from my late wifes research and she could find no trace
               of George ,she thought he had died but I have some info on the rest of the family.

             Elisabeth Cooper died 31 Dec 1889 in PD and is buried in the old kirkyard.
             her parents were William Cooper and Elisabeth Forbes

In memory of James Reid who departed this life March 4th 1881 aged 66 years deeply regretted also his grandchildren James Stephen who died 31st Aug 1870 aged 1 year and 8 months also William Stephen died 19th April 1872 aged 4 years and 9 months also his son William who died 3rd April 1887 aged 36 years also his wife Elisabeth Cooper who died 31st Dec 1889 aged 75 years also Jane Alliston wife of William Reid died 3rd April 1895 aged 42 years

On reverse side of above stone reads;
Inscribed by Alexander and Susan Reid in memory of their daughter Jemima who died 18th June 1882 aged 11 months

How did you determine that George Reid born 1838 in Peterhead have parents James Reid and Elizabeth Cooper?  I notice FamilySearch IGI gives mother as Elizabeth Cooper whereas the orginal record, Peterhead OPR is as follows:

1838
Nov. 15th James Reid, labourer in Peterhead, had a son baptised, named George, before James Hutchison and George Gall.
