That birth is included in the extracted records on family search - the year and page number matches the index record :

  Name: Mary Eliza Harper
  Birth date: 10 Jul 1867
  Birthplace: Tiscoffin, Kilkenny
  Reference No. : 539
Parents : Edward Harper & Margaret Bolten

these extracted records often show place of birth as a district, rather than a specific townland or street.

that Harper family look to be a very good match - there's also a listing for Mary's sister Harriet as shown on the 1911 return, with the same parents :

  Name: Harriet Harper
  Birth date: 08 Dec 1876
  Birthplace: Grove, Kilkenny
Parents : Edward Harper & Margaret Bolton

see : extracted births - Harper/Bolton

There's also a likely marriage for Edward and Margaret :

  Groom: Edward Harper / age 25 (c1837)
  Bride: Margaret Bolton / age 23 (c1839)
  Marriage Date: 15 Sep 1862
  Marriage Place: Drumcannon, Co. Waterford
  Groom's Father: Robert Harper
  Bride's Father: John Bolton
  see : link

Drumcannon is in the south east of Co. Waterford, near to Tramore.

This looks like Edward & Margaret Harper in Kilkenny in 1901 - looks like one of Robert Thompson's children was living with them too !

There's a birth of an Edward Harper to a Robert and Mary Harper in County Kilkenny in 1835 (also a Jane and Elizabeth in 1837 and 1840) and also a marriage of a Robert Harper to a Mary in Kilkenny in 1835.   All on

Good possibilities for your people.

Hi Trevor
Edward was indeed married in Waterford and moved back to Kilkenny. Emily is your grandmother I believe. my father believes he may have met you in 60's and is also in contact with B Thompson in Cobh

Hi Lorelei,

Thanks for that - if your father met me n the 60s, I was very young.  But I do remember going to Uncle Bob Thompson in Cobh in the late 60s / early 70s

Hello to Trevor
Just saw your requests. I am your second cousin, descendant of Molly Thompson's youngest brother. I have lots of data on the family dating back to the 18th Century. Would love to make contact with you directly if you are still interested.
