Hi
 I just found this

Thomas Lilley founded the shoe manufacturers and retailers Lilley &
Skinners.

He founded the firm in 1835 in Southwark, London, and was known simply
as 'Thomas Lilley'.

The business prospered and in c1849 branch factories were opened at
Wellingborough and Irthlingborough, Northamptonshire.

In 1870s a retail shop was opened in the Harrow Road, London, followed
by many others, and the firm's headquarters moved to Edgware Road.

In 1881 William Banks Skinner was taken into partnership, and the name
of the firm changed to Lilley and Skinner.

The link did not work or they could/would not answer your query to them?

hi

I don't think that Stead and Simpson exist anymore, they were a casualty of the recession, may be wrong

Sorry to contradict you but Stead and Simpson still exist unless they have gone since about Christmas time
