You have to become a member to get them to do the searches for you. It's well worth it

Hi

I was looking through some stuff and I came across something that rang a bell. I have a bit of information that is helpful to you, but not a great deal.

I have some transcriptions of some parish registers for pickering and I found the following entries:

Baptism: 18 June 1837  Matthew son of James & Ann Metcalfe Joiner of Pickering (it also lists their other children if you are interested)

Marriage: 12 February 1861
Matthew Metcalfe bach, miller age 23 of Pickering son of James Metcalfe labourer and Mary Anne Tyson spinster age 20 of Pickering daughter of Ambrose Glinton Tyson, station master by licence. Witnesses A.G Tyson and Emma Grace Tyson.

Sorry I can't fill in any of the other blanks for you :(

Hi

here are the babtisms of the other children of James and Ann that I have:

13 Jan 1883 John
5 Oct 1834 William
28 Feb 1836 Richard
24 Feb 1839 Elizabeth
2 Aug 1840 Mary
24 Apr 1842 Thomas
For all of the above the father's profession is given as joiner apart from the entry for Richard where his profession is Cartwright.

Then I came noticed this:

6 October 1860:
James Metcalf widowed joiner age 50 of Pickering son of Thomas Metcalf (deceased) labourer and Ester Collier sinster age 44 of Pickering daughter of William Collier (deceased) labourer by licence Witnesses John King and Jane Boak.
