No I don't think that this is him.  We definitely know that his wife's name was Ellen Peters and they only had one son, Walter Frederick.  Thanks for your help.

Have you Frank Bunyan's death cert.     What was fathers occupation on Frederick 's birth cert.       I cannot see F.W. Bunyan(1905) in 1911 census.   + or- 5 years, and just searching the surname.  ???

Hi again, we don't know when Frank died.  His last known occupation was Gardener. Found F W Bunyan, now known as Walter living with his granpdarents (mother's side) in Preston, Herts.

I still can't find F.W or Walter in 1911. ;D

A theory here.   Could Frank Bunyan have had another bigamous marriage.      I can find 2 Frank Bunyans..........one married in Thame, and the other living in Birmingham.

Birmingham -  Frank Bunyan c1882. Ashendon and Hilda Dorthy (Bunyan) c1889. Acocks Green, B/Ham.     Married 4 years.

Luton - Frank Bunyan c1880.  Hooton, Chesire.   and Ethel (Bunyan) c1879. Thame, Oxon.  Married 6 years.

These 2 Franks, are easy to trace in the Census.   The Ashendon one, is staying with his Uncle JAMES Bunyan c.1856. Pollicox, Bucks.    (Pollicot)Nr.Ashendon)) .  in Aylesbury.

There is also a death for Frank Bunyan  born c1878 - died 1949 - Luton District - Vol 4a - Page 89.

There is a tree on Ancestry with John Francis Bunyan s/o George Bunyan and Ann née Wilson born in Ashendon married to Hilda Dorothy George.

John Francis married Hilda as Frank Bunyan in Solihull in 1906.  This would be the Frank and Hilda Bunyan in Acocks Green in 1911.

This tree does not show any earlier marriage for John Francis.

However, there is no other male Bunyan birth in Aylesbury district from 1878-1884.

Ashendon is a fairly small place.  I would think that whoever performed duties as sexton to the church would not be employed full time - and would, in his usual working life be an ag lab.  People sometimes liked to make occupations look as important as possible in the marriage register.
