Bunyan Family of Ashendon
« on: Wednesday 11 January 12 20:21 GMT (UK) »
Can anyone offer any help or advice please?  I am searching for my relative Frank James Bunyan who at the age of 24 got married in 16th November 1904 in Hitchin Hertfordshire (approx. DOB 1880).  On his marriage certificate he gives his father’s name as George Bunyan and the marriage was witnessed by Ellen Jane Bunyan.  The only record I have been able to find that comes close to meeting this criteria is that of John Francis Bunyan born in 1880 in Ashendon, His father’s name was George Bunyan and his sister was Ellen Jane Bunyan.  Could this be the same person as I don’t know where to go from here?

His father’s occupation is difficult to read on the marriage certificate, it looks like Sexton but I am not too sure. The George I have found in Ashendon is an Agricultural Labourer.  This has only added to my confusion and uncertainty.

Thanks for the reply.  It’s not looking very promising that it’s my Frank Bunyan although some of the names match up. :(

Just had a look at the 1911 census.   Is his wife's christian name Ethel or Hilda Dorothy.
