Hi Sarah

Here are the notes that I have:-

Robert Everson m. Ann, possibly Tricker at Stowmarket, 21st June 1749. This Ann Tricker appears to be the daughter of Philip Tricker and Susan Manby, married 1st Nov 1720 at Stowmarket. Philip and Susan had children, William bap.10th June 1721; Susan bap.27th Sep 1724 and Ann bap.22nd Jan 1727. Susan (nee Manby) died Aug 1727, and Philip re-married three times. Philip’s parents were Thomas Tricker and Grace (nee Bennett). Robert and Ann Everson had a daughter, Sarah Everson bap.25th Dec 1749 at Stowmarket. Could this be the Robert Everson of St.Margaret’s, Ipswich for whom a settlement certificate dated 21st Dec 1754 states that he was legally settled in Tattingstone. They lived at Bentley and appear to have had nine children. She was buried at Bentley, 31st May 1783, and he was buried there, 25th Nov 1794, aged 66.
1 Robert Everson bap.March 1751 at Bentley. He possibly married Elizabeth Rout, 18th Feb 1776 at St.Margaret’s, Ipswich. Both were single of St.Margaret’s and signed ‘x’. Robert and Elizabeth then having children, William, bap.1779; Michael, bap.1780; and Sarah bap.1789 (all bap.at St.Peter’s, Ipswich). A Robert Everson was buried 8th Sep 1828 at St.Peter’s, Ipswich, aged 78, and an Elizabeth Everson was buried there, 25th Feb 1839, aged 90.

Do you have a record of who witnessed Elizabeth Rout Everson's marriage?

Regards, Steve

I know a bit of Robert Everson (b. 1728), as he is the furthest back our Family Tree goes, with his marriage to Ann Tricker.

They had 8 children, Robert (Mar 1751), Grace (Nov 1752), Thomas (Oct 1754, died May 1766), Elizabeth (Sep 1757), William (Sep 1758), Anne (Feb 1760), John (Nov 1767), Susan (1770, died 1777).

I descend from John, so our family tree follows down from there, but would be interesting to discover anything about the other branches. And if we could roll back any further than Robert, that would be brilliant.

We never engaged professionals to dig into our background, these were just records that were kept in the family, and were passed down.
