Old Manse/ St Paticks Graveyard Dalziel

Popped over to Old Manse Graveyard on Tues , many heavy roof tiles and some stone dislodged from the recently restored Mausoleum,and sadly a large part of the cemetery wall has collapsed on the grave of former Sextant James Prentice. :-[

The damage to the roof was caused by vandals stealing lead.

LFHS were in during the summer and managed to photograph most of the legible headstones, one dating back to 1607,and will be transcribing them.

Over the last couple of months I have cleaned many and re erected a few stones, for those interested they have been uploaded on to Find a Grave, atm there's over 500 with more to go on, in addition I have found a couple of stones that were completely buried so don't even appear on records...
