Thanks dave for getting back to me, it's good to know there are Waite's still out n about! ;D
I have spoken to mum and she's not sure but there must be some way of finding out when they came back to Yorkshire, I will dig around! We also have a lot of black and White pics who no one knows who they are, they came from my grans after she past away! Maybe they can be some use to you? It's such a shame I never asked gran whilst she was still here, this would've been Soooo much easier!!! Have you managed to piece together the family tree?? I was reading your last posts and it seems like your just about there with it! I would have seen you at grans funeral as I was there, I also had to go to Leeds st james's with gran to visit uncle kenn (that's what I called him cos everyone else did lol) when he was Ill in hospital, me n gran got lost round Leeds looking for the hospital and spent hours trying to get there, bless her, she was so upset and frustrated that day. For some reason it won't allow me to send you a message? I'm just getting to grips with this so you will have to bare with me. Anyway I will keep in touch and if I find anything out I will let you know xx

Hi David

I am not sure if we are related, my grandad was a Matthew Watson Waite, I never met him sadly but am trying to find my family! My grandma Harriet Anne passed away a couple of years ago  and didn't want to disrespect her but now I think it's the right time! You could be my fathers half brother! My grandad had an affair with my grandma sister and it split the whole family, I only know Molly and a Mary  and think Wilfred passed away sometime just before my gran I know there was 8 Jessops!  I know my grandfather Matthew played Rugby and was a miner, plus my father talks of him working for Hargreaves and chadwicks!  The names you mention sound familiar does Broderick or O'Toole mean anything to you or a Mae Waite? Look forward to hearing from you!

Any waite that are from Dewsbury related? My father was from Ravensthorpe he talks about his grandmother having a large house with red table cloth! My father is 72 this year and want to surprise him with what I know he left home at 15 because of family upset!

Dave

Looking at your initial post you could be my fathers cousin? If your father was Matthew Watson Waite brother!
