Hi- looking for any information on the Baird Family in Coleraine or around that area.   I have  Mary-Anne (nee Rankin) marrying John Baird probably 1860's (not sure) with children Mary Jane, ELiza, Martha, NANCY, sarah, John, Alexander, William. Sarah married a Jimmie Paul and Alexander married a Letitia hill.  and I think this may be the family I am looking for.  My Great Great grandmother was Nancy Baird who Married a Robert Caldwell.   If anyone has info would be extremely greatful!  Jenny :)

Hi,
Did a few look-ups and found that James Paul married Sarah Baird on 18 Jun 1891 in Castlerock Presbyterian Church, Parish of Dunboe, Coleraine District.
However on 18 Nov 1886 JOHN A. Baird married Letitia A. Hill in Terrace Row Third Presbyterian Church, Coleraine.

Thank you for that - I will have a look at what I have and let you know if it matches.   I would love to know where My great great grandmother is buried Nancy Caldwell) she died at age 44 I think rather young - my great grandfather John Baird Caldwell was down as the witness to her death.   There must be a baird burial area of church grounds or cemetry they were buried in or perhaps not. Where do I search for that????  Any ideas.   My great grandfather had told no one about his family so I have discovered so much.   Jenny :)

Hi Everyone

I realise this is an old post. I am related to the Rankin's of Knockmult but have recently had a DNA match to this family in Mullinhead.

Would anyone know if Mary Anne Baird (nee Rankin) of Mullinhead and the Rankin family of Knockmult are related?

Thanks in advance.
