Hi,

Would anyone have any information about William Soville Sealey, 1871, Barton Regis, Gloucestershire?

Plus the origin of the middle name Soville?

I am a Sealey (South Wales) and wish to gain a better understanding of my Gloucestershire descendants.

Any idea who was his parents and his siblings.

Thanks

Hullond  welcomebto rootshat :)

If you bought his birth cert. it would tell you about his parents or you could check earlier census about them.

Hello,

Did he marry Florence Densley? 1891 has him born St Phillips, Bristol.

The marriage index also has him as Solville but I can't see his birth.

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for all of your helpful tips and interest in my family tree.

Last week, I sent for William's marriage to his wife Florence Densley (date -

5th August 1889).

The wedding certificate shows that William Soville Sealey is in fact William Sealey, born 1871) For some reason, Soville was  officially not his given middle name.

In addition, the marriage certificate states that William's father was William James Sealey (labelled deceased).

Plus other sources reveal that his mother was indeed Rose, married twice, firstly to William James Sealey and then to John Wills.

Thank you so much again!!!!

Hello I'm just wondering if you have got any further with your SEALEY research. My tentative link is via John WILLS who married Alice Gertrude MITCHELL in 1897 Pontypridd. Johns first wife is really a sideline that I have tried to get more info on. I have him as married to a Rose widow of William SEALEY and was hoping to try and get more details on her. Hope you can help. Terry, Plymouth, Devon
