Hmm. Yes. I found the same web page and see what you mean. I never realised Charminster, Bournemouth wasn't the site of a 'real' minster. Sorry for my dodgy logic. So now my brain can't cope with the concept that James Dowle married Ann Pawley twice in two different places in 1816!
Tammy's original statement was that her Ann Pawley got married in "Great Canford, Charminster". [Tammy, do you have a reason for the comma between the two place names, or should it now be changed to either "Great Canford or Charminster" or "Great Canford and Charminster"?]
If we can remove the Great Canford marriage from the picture, then it certainly concentrates events in a narrower geography, though it's currently unclear to me why a guy from Chilfrome should marry a girl from Hermitage in Charminster, then return to live with her in Chilfrome. How long did you have to live in a place before you counted as 'otp'?
