Meeke/Meek from Northern Ireland to New Zealand

I don't know your Meek/Meeks family but you did ask for any family with that name.

Here's a list of coincidences:
My cousin (who's now dead) was an illegitimate son of Alfred Meeks and Susette Montgomery , born in Sydney NSW in 1927.
Our Montgomery family came from your current home town, back in 1840.
One of the sons married into the Blue family (Billy Blue's granddaughter Mary Ann) and I note you have Blue in your RC name.
Alfred Meeks's father - whose name I can't remember just now - is listed on a certificate as being born in the USA - would have been sometime in the 1800s.

Hi again, Post no two, if this is what is needed (I am new at this game) Reading all these posts has given me some added info. too.  Madge's husband was my Uncle Vic (who was also a Smith) and he passed only a few years ago. (he lived in Whangarei which is about 2 hours north of Auckland

Thank you all soooooooo much, finally found a living rellie  and one of James Craig's daughters is still alive !!

The power of google eh!!!! Found Raeby through a bowling site and emailed the bowling club, was just going on the first name so again it was a hit or a miss.  I have been so lucky and could not have started to piece together the jigsaw that I am now building without everyone help on this board.

I am going to use this example at my Family History Meeting in April as I have to give a talk at members night.... the power of Rootschat and google :-)
