Hi Barbara
From the link above, if you look at the top tabs, you will see Welcome - Browse - Search.
If you click on Search, it takes you to another screen, with '
Search catalogue records'.
On that screen, see '
Search for': then a box with '
Type in your search terms'. In this box, type in Mary Burrows. Next to it, click on button for '
Phrase' - then
Search.
You will see 17 results, click on '
Display Catalogue results'. If you get too many results here, you can add time parameters for the search. Also, you need to note that the search terms are very specific in terms of spellings (you cannot use wildcards for spelling variations).
This is where you have to go through and try and identify relevant records and where I found the entry I included above.
Quite often there will be two entries relating to criminal trials: Precognition with ref code normally starting with AD and then the actual trial papers, starting normally with JC.
Barbara these are just indexes. You would have to request photocopies from NAS. Shouldn't be too expensive (depends on number of pages) and always good to ask for quote beforehand, quoting the reference numbers for the documents you require.
Monica
