Postem's on FreeBMD

Great link, must remember to check periodically. I'm surprised at how many are corrections, surely it would be better to submit the correction to FreeBMD and have them update the entry?

Anyway, I have put details of some of my certificates into postems but not all, so thanks for the reminder.

FreeBMD's policy is only to accept corrections if the original transcriber made an error when transcribing. Even then, it still requires the transcriber to agree with the correction. Any errors in the original source will remain - that's why one will find a number of corrections shown in postems.

When I first started adding Postems I did put my email address in, then had 2nd thoughts.  Often I was adding to people who were not related to me so I did not want to be contacted.  Also you never know who will be contacting you and there are some 'odd' people around

I do not need a thanks for my effort in adding, I know that I am always grateful if I find one on my own family, so I assume that others are the same.
