Hi lib58,  I go 2 the Public Records office in Belfast.
I have no Raineys in my notes but next time I'm at PRONI I will have a look 4 u.

Hi My Grandad died Approx Jan/feb 1938.His Name was John Rainey.His wife was Elizabeth nee Lundy from Short Strand.Where would I also find out where My Grandad was born.Because he died in his very late 20's or very early 30's.My Father never knew him as he died when my father was 3months old.My dad has a photo of him that's all.

Hello Kingskerswell.  If you have not tired of searching Milltown Cemetery records, would you kindly check for McVeighs, McIvors and Leitchs, in particular, Peter McVeigh who died in about 1941, Catherine Mcveigh who died in 1942, Bridget Jane McIvor who died in 1908, and Bridget Jane Leitch (after 1911)?

Hi,
    Most of the burials on my list are before 1900 and I cannot find any of your names but there are two McVeigh graves.
1.   Erected by James McVeigh in memory of his daughters, Maria died 7 feb 1874 aged 8 and Catherine Walsh died 21 Mar 1897 aged 25. (James was a labourer of 44 Hamill Street)

2. Erected by Thomas McVeigh for his Mother, Margaret died 21 Apr 1887 aged 70 years and his fatherDaniel died 29 Nov 1891 aged 70 years.

   Cannot find anything on Bannon but there are some Donaghey/Donaghy names.
In Friars Bush there is a Francis McLaughlin and his son-in-law, James Donaghey (1849)
In Milltown there is  a Francis Donaghy d 30 Dec 1892 age 36, his wife Mary Ann d 11 Oct 1896 age 42 and his grandchild Francis Hawkins d 6 Dec 1836 age 18.
  Milltown again. Erected by Ellen Harrison for her Mother, Sarah 16 Nov 1896, her son-in-law James Donaghy10 Jan 1903, her sister Annie Donaghy 21 Jan 1924 and Ellen Harrison 21 Jan 1924. ( Sarah Harrison lived at 77 Albert St.)
