There is a 'Trevelyan Temperance Hotel' marked on the 1891 map of Leeds.
Located at the junction of Boar Lane and Briggate.

That would make sense as some of the cenus listings state family members as living at 8&9 George Street, Leeds.

A quick look on Google for George Street lists a Temperance Hotel called The Market Tavern which was closed down by Leeds council in Janurary 1995

Before it closed it was one of the pubs that had an early morning license to sell beer.

Hi, 'frogbox82'

Welcome to Rootschat

Its nice to know old thread info is still helping people ! even 11 years on, you'll find an archive of research over many years info in a top of page SEARCH in a horizontal menu on various ancestors in the general public done on the forum boards also collectively ! some members of rootschat have ancestry research access to ancestry websites, other resources and a vast experience of where to look up ancestry records (on and off line achives) for up todate research.

Some members may live near a churchyard or cemetery that have other members ancestors interred or buried in them with headstone epitaph MI info who will have a look around the graves (If
the graveyard if safe to do so).

Dobfarm.  :)
In my opinion the marriage residence is not always the place of birth. Never forget Workhouse and overseers accounts records of birth
