Kilmacanogue Cemetery

If anyone had cuase to visit Kilmacanogue Cemetery, could you photograph a headstone/grave for me?

I believe the grave number to be 94:  the inscription reads

In Loving Memory | of | my dear husband | LEO P. WICKHAM | died
9th Nov. 1960 | aged 60 years | also his beloved wife | RUTH
ISOBEL | died 27th Feb. 1985 | R.I.P. | "Thy Will be Done" |
Erected by his loving wife and sons.

they have headstone transcriptions and photos - you have to scan through the photos to find the one that matches the number.

I think the numbers are references used by the IGP to keep track, rather than official grave numbers.

You are quite right Shane.   
I am just writing to confirm that we number photos and inscriptions to match, so that folk can easily find a photo if they have found an inscription of interest, and vice versa.    They are not grave numbers.   
I am pleased to see that the work we did at Kilmacanogue has helped someone.

thanks for all the hard work with these - I have some Kilmacanogue connections, and you've documented a few of mine there also.

One of my gt-uncles was a long serving chairman of the GAA club, and it's  now named after him..

Good to hear that too!  It was a nice cemetery to do - all in good order.  I would love to get back into the old Kilmacanogue Cemetery but it is kept locked.  We had completed a day in the "new" cemetery and found the gate open to the Old one, so managed to grab a few there too.
Perhaps in 2012 I shall get around to asking for the key for a day!  Pray for some good weather this coming Spring and Summer !
We could do with some more help, so anyone reading this and interested please get in touch

I've been in the old cemetery a few times, two out of three Sunday mornings when I went it was unlocked.

Let me know if you get to organize something, and if I'm available I'll chip in..
