Hi all!

I can't read the first name of the four-year-old son, ______ Middleton Dodd. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you :)

I thought it might be, but the lack of an obvious looking H threw me, that and the A looks a bit messy :D

The father has a brother by the name of Arthur Middleton Dodd, presumably who the son was named for. Thanks again!

Hi
My sister in law is a daughter of Archibald Middleton Dodd, who served as an officer in WW1.

There clearly is a relationship between "your" Arthur Middleton Dodd and "our" Archibald.

I wonder if you have any further info about that Dodd family who used Middleton as a given name - apart from census, and such records as I have found on ANCESTRY?

I am particularly interested in what happened to Archibald after my sister in law was born in about 1936.

HI GEAH

YES I CAN SEND YOU WHAT I KNOW. SOME IS OBTAINED FROM HIS DAUGHTER, BUT MOST IS BY SEARCHING THROUGH CENSUSES ETC VIA ANCESTRY. MY SUBSCRIPTION TO ANCESTRY GIVES ME ACCESS TO ALL UK RECORDS.

THE MATERIAL OBTAINED THROUGH ANCESTRY IS ALL IN MY "DODD" FAMILY TREE IN ANCESTRY, WHICH IS A PUBLIC TREE, THOUGH OF COURSE IT REVEALS NOTHING ABOUT PERSONS STILL LIVING.

SO I THINK THE NEXT STEP IS FOR YOU TO SEND YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS BECAUSE THE INFORMATION IS QUITE VOLUMINOUS. HOWEVER, IF YOU ARE FAMILIAR WITH ANCESTRY YOU CAN ENTER IT AND FIND MY DODD TREE. MY NAME IN ANCESTRY IS MERTHERUNY.

THE SECOND STEP IS FOR YOU TO TELL ME WHETHER YOU CAN ACCESS WHAT I HAVE PUT INTO ANCESTRY AND IF YOU WANT ME TO EMAIL ADDITIONAL MATTER TO YOU. OBVIOUSLY YOU DONT KNOW HOW MUCH ADDITIONAL MATTER I HAVE BUT EQUALLY OBVIOUSLY I DO.

Hi Moolerr,

I have PM'ed you my e-mail address.

I currently do not have an Ancestry sub going so I can't view other people's trees unless I have been invited to view them via e-mail.

If you could tell me in an e-mail how 'our' Dodd's are related then we can go from there!  :)
