Alderman Wood

Who was Alderman Wood? He had a school named after him which was Stanley Grammer School and is currently Tanfield School. What connection did Alderman Wood have to this school? Any information would be great thanks :)

Why not contact the local/county council, I see that there is also a road named after him.

There is mention of an Alderman Wood in Google Books
