Who was Alderman Wood? He had a school named after him which was Stanley Grammer School and is currently Tanfield School. What connection did Alderman Wood have to this school? Any information would be great thanks

Why not contact the local/county council, I see that there is also a road named after him.
There is mention of an Alderman Wood in Google Books
