Hello

I'm looking for information on the following person:

- Florence unkown, born 1879 in Hugheskaffa, Russia

I guess "Hugheskaffa" means "Hughesovka".
Does anybody know who here parents were?

Best Regards
Frederick

Benjamin W Thomas married Florence Lois Jones in Cardiff in 4th Q 1902.  Buying the marriage cert will give both the names of their fathers and their occupations.  On 1901 census, Benjamin and Florence were both single, and Florence was a kitchenmaid working in Glamorgan Lunatic Asylum in Bridgend.  She had been born in Russia, so I'm fairly certain this is the correct Florence.

Hello,

the father of Florence Lois Jones was David Jones. I found his name on the marriage cert of his daughter. When Florence was born in Hughesovka where can I get her birth cert or informations about David?

Best
Frederick

Hello Valerie125
My father was born in Hughesovka in 1917 I think. His father was a Scottish accountant working in, I believe, a brewery in Hughesovka. My grandfather married a lady from St Petersburg and they ultimately ended up in Britain after fleeing the Revolution. Before permanently settling in Yorkshire my grandfather and his wife spent time in France, Belgium and Germany working mostly with International Harvester Co.
I would like to be able to trace this part of my family's history because so much was lost during the Revolution and two World Wars.

My father was born in Hughesovka. Does anyone recognise the names: Kean, Tascheit, Drozin?

I'm looking for the name of a brewery in Hughesovka attached, presumably to the steelworks.

How about searching for your ancestors in the Welsh Newspapers, I got heaps of hit on the word "Hughesovka"

Try "Hughesovka" and a surname as a search term.
