Marriage in Broughton Poggs

There is a submitted entry on the IGI for a marriage in 1696 for a James Purbrick of Filkins to a Jane Tyrell of Broughton Poggs. As marriages usually take place in the bride's parish I am presuming (dangerous thing to do, I know) that the marriage took place in Broughton Poggs.

Can anyone verify this marriage for me or find a birth for Jane Tyrell circa 1670-1680.

Found marriage they married at Broughton Pogges on 22nd February 1695. Sorry I don't have parish registers for Broughton.  Hope this helps a little. Merry Christmas.

Found your marriage in the Parish Records for Broughton Pogges and can confirm the earlier postings. It appears James was of Filkins and Jane from Leamhill. Checking where this was - "Lemhill (Leamhill, Lenhill) was a detached portion of the county of Oxfordshire (in the Parish of Broughton Pogges) until 1884 when it transferred to Gloucester.

I did a search for Jane birth but could not find one between the dates your mentioned, the records did not go back this far. I did find a William Tyrrel son of Joseph, bapt 15/2/1695 and Joseph, son of Joseph and Ann bapt 16/12/1697.

Tried looking at a few areas around Broughton but no luck.

Thank you for the further confirmation of the marriage. I have found a possible birth for Jane in Drayton, Berks in 1675, daughter of Avery Tyrell and Mary.
