Parent find help!?!?

Hi,
Trying to find the birth parents of a John Mounsey (Mouncey, Muncey, Mucie or any other variation), born in 1878 in Dudley, Worcestershire
i've got him living in 1881 with his Grandmother, Mary Ann Kennedy
but cannot find him in any other census' (other than the 1911) and have tried to find parish records, tried looking for if any of Mary Ann's children could have had him, but i can't find many children for her or any grandchildren
He reappears in 1911 with his family, but can't find anything else on him
Any one help?

Hi Joel,

Was the grandmother Mary Ann Kennedy John's Mothers Mother.  I would have thought so else she would have the same Mounsey surname.

I did a search for marriages between Mounsey and Kennedy and came up with 1 that is in the right time frame, just 4 years before John was born.

The details are below, I'm not sure the location is correct but it was the only one with the correct names.

yeah thats his grandmother,
John was born in 1878 not 1978, so it would be a hundred and four years off his birthday!

Whom did he Marry and where?
What is his exact DOB/POB and spelling of the Surname in 1911?

I did notice Mary Kennedy was born c 1813 in 1871 Census.

John Mounsey, Aged 32 (giving his birth date at around 1879/1878, born in Dudley
and he has been married 3 years, and was married in Wolverhampton (he is also living in wolverhampton in the 1911 census

He Married a 'Martha Ellen Forrester'

Wife on census is Martha aged 27 born in Wolverhampton so probably the Martha Ellen Forrester you mentioned. Marriage Q2 1908 in Wolverhampton seems to confirm. Ref 6b 1094

it's just seems impossible to find his parents
i have been trying for ages!

I can see no other way around it, you need to purchase the Marriage and Birth Certs.
