Bertie Sandel Brice
« on: Thursday 15 December 11 23:10 GMT (UK) »
Please can anyone help me find the date/place of Bertie's death? After his 1st wife died in 1946,he married Mrs. Annie P. Muir -who had 2 daughters, possibly Nancy and Bunty. They moved from Hampshire to Paisley. Bertie had lived in Renfrewshire for a time  earlier when he was in the forces.Difficult to confirm which force as he enlisted in 1897at 14 in the Royal Marines, flew in the Royal Naval Air Service and ended up in the RAF. I understand he was still receiving his pension in the early 60s.Grateful for any info,
 Lizziebee

Have you looked on Scotlands People as that is the only website where you would get details of his death.  SP is a paysite

Carlin (Ireland & Liverpool) Doughty & Wright (Liverpool) Dick & Park (Scotland & Liverpool)

Did he re-marry in England as I can't find an entry with a wife called Annie

EDIT

A basic search on SP shows he married in 1948 in Scotland and died in Scotland between 1961-1970

Hello again,CaroleW! You've come to my help again! Bertie's granddaughter thought he'd married in England, but wasn't sure.I think I can get a marriage and death certificate through my local registrar's,though I may need place, date, volume etc. I'll enquire tomorrow. Many thanks,Lizziebee
