Passenger list lookups - to the US (1871-1879) - from the US (1880-1891)

Hi,

I would be very grateful if someone could help with the following passenger list lookups.


1. Louisa Harriet Hanks (also known as Abbie)
   born Bristol about 1859
   travelled to the US between 1871 and 1879


2. Frederick Teare
   born Isle of Man about 1847
   again travelled to the US between 1871 and 1879


3. Louisa Harriet Teare (also known as Abbie)
   born Bristol 1859
   returned from the US between 1880 and 1891


Any help with the above would be very much appreciated. They are probably all to or from New York.

Hi I found a Elizabeth Hanks going to New york born 1859 Bristol ??.Do you have them on census forms ?? 1880 Washington Frederick and Abbie L Tearr ( different spelling ) living with Richard and Charlotte Earles ??

The 1880 census entry for Frederick and Abbie L Tearr I think is the couple I am looking for.

In 1871 Louisa Harriet Hanks (Abbie) is in the UK living in Bristol with her Aunt and Uncle. Also at the same address is her sister Frances Elizabeth Hanks who could have been known as Elizabeth. The 2 sisters are very close in age so the Elizabeth Hanks that you have found could have been Abbie’s sister.

What passenger list is Elizabeth on?

Hi Jenet Elizabeth was on the 1880 ( april ) passenger lists , I have your Abbie L Teare in the 1891 census living 14, Church Road Tranmere aged 30widow working for a John Powell  he was also widower do you have that info

Hi Rosie, Yes, Thanks, I had found Abbie in the 1891 census. She eventually married John Powell. If the Elizabeth Hanks you have found is Abbie’s sister then perhaps she travelled to the US to be with her. Maybe we will never know. Thanks again. Jenet4
