The townland of Ballycocksoost is in the civil parish of Inistioge, and in the RC parish also called Inistioge (with two other civil parishes). Historic baptism records for this parish go back to 1820, and marriages to 1758, with large gap between 1777 and 1827. These records are available in the National Library (Dublin) as 'Inistioge & Clodiagh' on microfilms Pos. 5021 and 5022. These films also include details for some neighbouring parishes - e.g. Ballyhale
