Sani,

There is this family - I wonder if the surnames have been mixed up.

There is this family also at Nuggerty Gully in 1914

BAILEY Eva May, Home Duties
BAILEY Henry, Woodcutter
BAILEY Henry Jnr, Woodcutter
BAILEY Lydia Ellen, Homse Duties

Eva, Henry and Henry jnr are still there in 1919
Gadsby's, Farmers, Neals - Leicestershire
Freemans, Littles, Corbetts, Branns - Australia

Hi tedscout,

Siblings Henry and Eva BAILEY lived together their whole lives at Talbot until Henry's death in 1966.  Eva continued to live at Railway Street, Talbot until her death in 1970.

We have gone through all of this in a previous post.  http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,524502.0.html

Thanks Debra,

I figured that one out after I posted it. I'm beginning to think there wasn't an Eva Bailley marrying a Henry Prowse.

I am wondering if Sani read all the her previous threads.

There was no response to the last lot of info that was posted.

I thought we had cleared up the confusion.

Cheers
Cando

I hope Sani comes back and reads all this.

Hi tedscout     Re 1909 Role.  Sarah Jane Prowse (nee Harrison) was the mother of Frederick,Henry (my grandfather)James and John. She had 12 children altogether. Husband William John is buried at Amhurst cemetery, Talbot. Sarah came down to Geelong where 6 of her children lived and is buried in Geelong.
Re 1924 Role.   John married Lydia Ellen Bailey  1920 and moved to Geelong. Arthur is another son and Jean Robinson is her daughter-in-law (wife of James Robert).
Lydia Bailey was b 1888 possibly in Adelaide SA as the family apparently lived there for some time and some still do.
The family seem to think Eva May married another Henry Prowse, but from what I gather now, she never married. and where we thought she was a sister to Lydia, now appears she was a cousin. It was this Henry Prowse that I was trying to trace but with no luck I'm afraid.
But thanks to all who have tried to help me        Val

Father John  Mother Lydia Catherine HOUSE
At Brunswick  1888  Reg#930

Have you actually read all the linked thread as you haven't responded to the last post.

My appologies and Thanks to everyone who has tried to help me find this elusive Henry Prowse as the family are sure he is part of my family. I put this up again in hope that someone new may see it and be able to help. I did not intend to cause any ill feelings.   I will now put Henry into  my file with other family stories that I can't verify

Thanks Again to all who tried to help
